Holland America Line's new standby program offers spontaneous travelers $50-a-day cruises. Holland America Line has a solution for budget-minded travelers who prefer more conventional and less intense itineraries. If a traveler is selected to sail, Holland America will alert them about a week before the embarkation date. According to Rough, this program is a "win-win" for Holland America and travelers living near the embarkation port. If a pre-booked guest has to cancel their vacation a week before sailing, standby travelers can fill this otherwise empty cabin, decreasing lost revenue.

NEW YORK (AP) — A New York appeals court judge on Thursday paused a gag order that barred Donald Trump from commenting on court staffers in his civil fraud trial. In his decision, Judge David Friedman of the state’s intermediate appeals court cited constitutional concerns about restricting Trump’s free speech. He issued a stay of the gag order, allowing Trump to comment freely about court staff while a longer appeals process plays out. Trump’s lawyers filed a lawsuit against the trial judge, Arthur Engoron, late Wednesday challenging the gag order as an abuse of power. Trump's lawyers — who, separately, sought a mistrial Wednesday — contend that Engoron's orders are unconstitutionally suppressing free speech, and not just any free speech.

CNN —A New York appeals court judge on Thursday temporarily lifted the gag order placed on Donald Trump and his attorneys in his civil fraud trial following an emergency hearing. Judge Arthur Engoron imposed the gag order on Trump to prevent him from making any statements about court staff, citing security risks. His order came after Trump posted on social media a baseless allegation involving the judge’s principle law clerk. The judge later extended the gag order to ban Trump’s attorneys from making any public statements about communications that the judge has with the law clerk. Engoron has already ruled that Trump and his co-defendants were liable for fraud.

A New York judge on Thursday temporarily suspended a gag order barring former President Donald Trump from commenting on court staff in his $250 million civil business fraud trial. She seeks $250 million in damages and wants to permanently bar Trump Sr., Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump from running a New York business. Trump has already violated the narrow gag order twice, catching a total of $15,000 in fines. That gag order barred Trump from making statements targeting the prosecutors, likely witnesses and court staff in the case. A federal appeals court temporarily paused the D.C. gag order earlier this month.

An appellate judge in New York temporarily lifted Trump's limited gag order in his NY fraud trial. The gag had barred Trump and his lawyers from spoken or written attacks on the judge's law staff. AdvertisementOn November 3, Engoron extended the gag order to include Trump's lawyers after Trump's lawyers made what the judge called "on the record, repeated, inappropriate remarks" about the same clerk. Trump and his lawyers are now free to make written and spoken criticisms of the judge's staff members pending the full appellate decision. Trump's lawyers must respond by November 27, after which a full panel of the New York Appellate Division's First Department will decide if the gag stays or goes permanently.

REUTERS/Scott Morgan/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsNEW YORK, Sept 28 (Reuters) - A New York appeals court on Thursday refused to delay Donald Trump's scheduled Oct. 2 civil fraud trial, after the former U.S. president accused the trial judge of wrongly refusing to throw out most of the case. In a brief order, a five-judge panel of the Appellate Division, a mid-level appeals court in Manhattan, denied Trump's motion to postpone the trial. Engoron's decision on Tuesday showed that he believed the appeals court ruling had little effect on James' case. Donald Trump and his adult sons appear on both lists, as do former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg and controller Jeffrey McConney.

WASHINGTON, Nov 27 (Reuters) - Some Republicans on Sunday criticized Donald Trump for dining with white supremacist Nick Fuentes at the former president's Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida, even as Trump said the encounter was inadvertent. Also, I didn't know Nick Fuentes," Trump wrote. The White House slammed Trump, saying in a statement that "bigotry, hate, and antisemitism have absolutely no place in America — including at Mar-A-Lago." "To my friend Donald Trump, you are better than this. Even a social visit from an antisemite like Kanye West and human scum like Nick Fuentes is unacceptable," Friedman wrote on Twitter.
Benjamin Netanyahu described the techniques sued to turn Donald Trump against Palestinians in his new memoir. "It showed the distance from Tel Aviv to the 1967 lines to which the Palestinians demanded we retreat," Netanyahu wrote, per The Guardian. Netanyahu wrote that the two distances "were identical." Per The Guardian, Netanyahu recalled Dermer telling Trump: "Peace with the Emirates is a five-foot putt. At a joint press conference with Trump, Netanyahu praised it as "the deal of the century."
His comments have given fuel to the growing interest in a one-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as negotiations to create a sovereign Palestinian state have achieved little in recent years. But such a process insists on a sovereign Palestinian state. 01:18 - Source: CNNThe idea of the two-state solution sounds simple enough – an Israeli state next to a Palestinian state, existing side by side in peace. OPINION: What Trump’s meeting with Abbas meansWhat would a one-state solution look like? It is land that Palestinians, along with the international community, view as territory for a future Palestinian state.
